A journey through innovation and synergy: Annual Report 2023
For FMCN, the year 2023 marked a period of renewal, growth, and collaboration. Joint work with communities, partner organizations in the field, government entities, institutions, and donors strengthened the commitment to conservation, sustainable management, and capacity building.
During this year, FMCN outlined its
sixth strategic plan for the next six years, focused on three objectives: conservation, sustainable management, and capacity building. With it, a new mission:
Sustain our natural treasure.
This annual report comprehensively compiles the most notable achievements during 2023 and is a testament to the progress made. Significant advances were achieved, such as the coordination of 23 projects and the award of 172 donations. The joint efforts translated into 8,862 people adopting best sustainable practices, 10,228 people participating in training processes, and 48,261 more hectares operating under sustainable management conditions.
Communities and partner organizations dedicated to conserving biodiversity and ecosystems in Mexico played a valuable role in protecting our natural wealth.
