FMCN designs, promotes and implements, innovative financing mechanisms, as well as particular projects that promote biodiversity conservation in Mexico.
Currently, three projects and special initiatives are implemented:
1) Golden Eagle: It seeks the recovery of the populations of the Golden Eagle and its habitat in Mexico.
2) Leadership Program in the Mesoamerican Reef System (MAR Leadership): Strengthens local leaders for reef conservation in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize.
3) Sustainable Rural Life: Promotes the use of ecotecnics in rural communities bordering federal and state protected areas.
